
Most recently Mook has served as a assistant coach at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to that, Mook served as the head coach at Hastings High School for four seasons. Upon taking over the program located in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Mook led Hastings to the state championships for the first time in over 30 years. The squad also won numerous travel ball tournaments under his tutelage, including the AFA Northern National Tournament in 2007 and the Minnesota Summer Elite League State title in 2008. Mook has also served as a pitching coach at Winona State University in southern Minnesota for a season, where he would later go on to get his undergraduate degree in physics education in 2007. A member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, Mook has achieved Master Coaching status by virtue of the NFCA Coaches College.
